Why go
This is one of the caldera’s higher village settings, so the landscape feels broader than at a single viewpoint. The route through Imerovigli brings Skaros Rock into view and gives the Church of Panagia Malteza a place in the same walk. Take time to look both out to sea and back along the rim.
What to look for
- Sea and sunset views from the high caldera rim
- Skaros Rock beside the village
- The Church of Panagia Malteza
Useful to know
- Walk through the village before deciding whether to continue towards Skaros Rock.
- Plan for sun and wind on the exposed caldera side.
