Seward Park
Seward Park occupies forested Bailey Peninsula on Lake Washington, combining a lakeshore setting with one of Seattle's remaining tracts of old-growth forest.
Why go
Choose Seward Park for a Lake Washington outing where the shoreline and forest are equally important. Bailey Peninsula was once an island before the Lake Washington Ship Canal lowered the lake in 1916, and the area has a much longer Duwamish history. Andrews' Bay provides a beach setting, while the peninsula gives the park a clear sense of separation from the city.
