Suzzallo Library
Suzzallo Library is the University of Washington's central library, a Collegiate Gothic campus landmark whose original plan imagined an unbuilt central bell tower.
Why go
Visit Suzzallo Library for one of the University of Washington's most recognizable buildings and a clear example of its early campus architecture. Charles H. Bebb and Carl F. Gould planned the library as part of a Collegiate Gothic group around a bell tower that was never completed. A relief outside Smith Hall preserves that unrealized vision.
