T-Mobile Park
T-Mobile Park is a retractable-roof baseball stadium in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood, built in 1999 near the western end of Interstate 90 and the stadium district.
Why go
T-Mobile Park is a useful stop for understanding the stadium district's shift from the Kingdome era to a purpose-built baseball venue. Construction began in 1997 and the stadium hosted its first game in 1999. Its retractable roof and SoDo setting make it an immediately recognizable landmark when moving between downtown, rail stations and the industrial south.
