Why go
This is an active Mahé day for walkers who want forest, granite and views rather than another beach circuit. Mission Lodge gives an easy opening before the climbs. Copolia and Trois Frères have separate entrances; arrange road transport between them instead of treating the route as one continuous ridge walk. Allow time to walk back to each trailhead after its summit or viewpoint before moving on. The two return hikes make this a demanding outing even though the trailheads sit fairly close together. Start early, carry water and check current park access and weather before committing to both walks.
