Why go
Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po offer very different ways to see the peninsula. A harbour view, heritage compound, night market or electronics street can each anchor a visit; trying to cover them all at once weakens the experience.
What to look for
- Tsim Sha Tsui faces Hong Kong Island across Victoria Harbour.
- Yau Ma Tei has Temple Street and the Tin Hau Temple area.
- Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po offer distinct shopping streets.
Useful to know
- Build a route around one or two neighboring Kowloon districts.
- From Shenzhen, include border and onward travel before scheduling Hong Kong stops.
