River history to Marina Bay

Why go

This mostly level city walk suits first-time visitors who want Singapore’s river story and the newer bay skyline in one day. Begin at the Raffles Landing Site, visit the Asian Civilisations Museum on the same bank, then cross Cavenagh Bridge toward Merlion Park. Short waterfront stages continue past the Esplanade to the exhibitions at ArtScience Museum. The outdoor pauses can be brief in humid weather, leaving time for the two museums and an unhurried meal. If museum entry does not appeal, spend the saved time along the public waterfront rather than adding another distant stop.
