Triple Bridge
Cross Plečnik's three-part river crossing between Prešeren Square and the old town, pausing to notice how stairways and balustrades shape a small public space.
The central stone bridge predates the two pedestrian spans that Plečnik added. Together they broaden a busy crossing into a place for looking along the Ljubljanica and moving between different parts of the centre. This is a short architectural stop that helps explain the arrangement of nearby streets, riverbanks and market arcades.
What to look for
Plečnik's two pedestrian spans flank an older stone bridge over the Ljubljanica.
Stone balustrades, lamps and stairways connect the crossing with river terraces.
