Why go
This easy-paced Adler day mixes a small history museum with everyday streets, a memorial park and two very different green edges of the district. Start at the District History Museum while its exhibits are open, then browse Central Market before walking to Bestuzhev-Marlinsky Park. Continue to the seafront for a view of the coast and river-mouth area, and finish among the ponds and planted grounds of Southern Cultures Park. The museum closes on some days, and the botanical park has managed access, so check both before choosing a date. The market is optional if you would rather give the afternoon to the parks and coast.
