Table Mountain National Park
Table Mountain National Park protects the Cape Peninsula’s mountain spine and fynbos, from city-facing peaks to Silvermine and Cape Point.
Why go
The park is not one continuous fenced destination. Table Mountain and Lion’s Head overlook Cape Town, Silvermine spans a different part of the peninsula, and Cape Point brings the route toward the coast. Choosing a section first makes the landscape easier to explore.
What to look for
Table Mountain and Lion’s Head rise directly above Cape Town.
Silvermine and Cape Point occupy separate peninsula sections.
Fynbos includes proteas, ericas and restios.
Useful to know
Pick one park section for a focused outing; the sections are separated by urban areas.
Check wind and visibility before heading to an exposed summit or coastal point.
