Why go
This route works for a first visit to Seville that puts several distinct forms of architecture in a sensible order. Las Setas opens with a modern structure and a view over the centre. The Cathedral and Royal Alcázar then place the city’s older layers close together, so there is little transfer time between the two major visits. Give the Alcázar room to breathe; its interiors and gardens reward a slower pace. Plaza de España is optional if you want a broader public space at the end of the day. It adds an outdoor walk, so skip it in uncomfortable heat or rain.
