Casa Milà
Casa Milà, also called La Pedrera, sets an undulating stone facade against a roof of sculptural chimneys. It is Gaudí’s urban apartment block at full scale.
Why go
The facade makes the building stand apart on Passeig de Gràcia, but the rooftop shows how even practical elements became architecture. Moving between street view and roof level reveals the same design idea at different scales. It pairs naturally with nearby Casa Batlló while remaining a distinct visit.
What to look for
The undulating stone facade.
The sculptural roof chimneys.
Useful to know
Compare the street facade with Casa Batlló nearby, then reserve enough time for the roof if open.
