From the Spain World / Places
Puente Nuevo
Puente Nuevo spans Ronda’s deep Tajo gorge and links the town’s two sides. The bridge is best understood from several viewpoints.
Why go
On the bridge, the crossing feels like a normal city connection until the ravine opens below. From the gorge edge, its tall stone arch becomes the subject. Comparing both views explains why this is more than a transit point and gives Ronda its most distinctive urban landscape.
What to look for
The high arch over the ravine.
The gorge viewpoint.
Useful to know
See the bridge from a safe gorge viewpoint as well as from the crossing itself.
