Heslach Waterfalls

Follow a steep woodland path to a small cascade in the Heidenklinge. This is a short, demanding nature detour whose water flow and footing change with the weather.

Why go

The cascade belongs to Stuttgart’s old water-supply landscape: water was directed from the higher park lakes through a tunnel toward the Nesenbach. The wooded ravine provides a different experience from open hilltop viewpoints. Expect a modest watercourse, with the forest setting and historic engineering forming as much of the interest as the falls.

What to look for

  • The small cascades in a wooded ravine.
  • A landscape linked to the historic park-lake water system.

Useful to know

  • Wear sturdy shoes; the steep descent needs sure footing.
  • Avoid a wet or icy descent if the footing is unsuitable.
  • The steep descent requires good fitness and alpine hiking experience.
