Portals, carved stones and sculpture preserve parts of buildings that no longer survive as complete structures. The Renaissance-inspired garden gives these fragments room to be seen separately, with paths and terraces encouraging a slow circuit. It complements a Karlshöhe walk by bringing the city’s lost architecture into focus at the foot of the hill.
What to look for
Carved portals and fragments of Stuttgart buildings.
Sculptures arranged among terraces and garden paths.
Queen Olga’s jasper bowl.
Useful to know
Pair the sculpture garden with Karlshöhe above it.
