Hitia'a Lava Tubes
Take a guided day into Hitia’a’s lava-tube country for dark rock passages, water and forest, a demanding excursion that requires appropriate equipment and settled conditions.
The approach combines a four-wheel-drive ascent with walking before the lava-tube entrances. Inside, water and darkness change the nature of the outing from an ordinary hike.
