Lafayette Beach
Walk along Lafayette’s black-sand shore in Arue for a coastal break close to Papeete, with coconut palms and open water giving the beach its character.
Lafayette makes a convenient coast-focused pause between the Arue heritage sites and the northern viewpoints. The long shore is used for walking, swimming and surfing, but those are different levels of commitment. Enjoy the landscape from land first and judge any water activity by the conditions you find.
