Marae Tefana i Ahura'i
Visit Marae Tefana i Ahura’i a Tama in Faa’a for a restored ancestral ceremonial site associated with canoe builders and Tahitian traditions of navigation.
The marae connects religious life, royal genealogy and the knowledge of voyaging communities. Tourism interpretation describes its dedication to Ta’aroa and an orientation toward Antares, known in Tahitian star lore. Its setting offers a different cultural stop from the larger Paea marae, with a specific connection to Faa’a’s heritage.
