Why go
Begin at Sioni Cathedral, then cross a few compact streets to the Great Synagogue before descending toward the sulfur-bath domes of Abanotubani. Continue into Leghvtakhevi gorge for the waterfall, then climb only as far as Jumah Mosque if the slope feels comfortable. Cross the river to Metekhi Church for the clearest look back at the old-city cliff, and finish through Rike Park at the Bridge of Peace. Seven stops fit geographically, but the mosque climb and waterfall are optional when heat, rain, or mobility make the gorge tiring.
