Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park
Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park joins laterite temples with city walls and moats from Sukhothai’s southern frontier. Its two-sided layout rewards a slower visit than a single monument stop.
Kamphaeng Phet shows the defensive edge of the old kingdom. The heritage area reaches inside and outside the city walls, so moving between temple groups also traces the scale of its former urban plan. It adds a military and trade frontier perspective to the more familiar religious monuments at Sukhothai and Si Satchanalai.
