Ko Chang
Ko Chang is a large island on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast, with beaches, forested interior and a southern fishing-village setting. White Sand Beach, Klong Plu Waterfall and Laem Bang Bao call for different island outings.
Why go
The island offers more than a strip of sand: a beach stop at Hat Sai Khao, an inland waterfall and the Bang Bao headland give three distinct ways to spend time. Its size matters when planning; pick one part of the island to explore well instead of assuming its named sights sit side by side.
What to look for
Hat Sai Khao is also known as White Sand Beach.
Klong Plu Waterfall draws visitors inland.
Laem Bang Bao gives the southern coast a different setting.
