Wat Chedi Luang
The massive, weathered chedi at Wat Chedi Luang anchors a temple visit inside Chiang Mai’s old walls. Its scale contrasts with the smaller shrines and streets around it.
Come for the great brick form and the way its damaged mass still dominates the old town. This is a useful comparison with the more ornate Wat Phra Singh nearby: one site emphasizes a monumental chedi, the other a revered image and painted hall. Walking between them makes the city’s religious geography easier to read.
