Rotunda
The Rotunda is the substantial building on a Galerius-quarter walk. Plan more time here than at the outdoor Arch if you want a single visit spanning several historical periods.
Why go
Step inside for the vast domed space: it delivers a spatial experience that the nearby outdoor Arch cannot. Mosaics reveal the building’s Christian chapter, while the minaret remains visible evidence of later Ottoman use. Those layers sit within a structure associated with Galerius’s imperial quarter, making the Rotunda a strong single stop for several periods of the city.
