Playa Paraíso
Choose Playa Paraíso for a longer pause on the broad Caribbean sand south of the ruins. Its open shoreline suits beach time and a wide coastal view more than a brief sightseeing stop.
The scale of this beach is its attraction: there is room to slow down, watch the sea and take in the coastal setting after a more structured visit. It is an exposed stretch, so plan shade and water and check the day's beach conditions and current access route before committing to a long stay.
What to look for
Broad sand invites an unhurried shore visit.
Open exposure makes shade and water useful.
Useful to know
Beach conditions and access routes can change with weather and park operations.
Bring shade and water for an exposed sand visit.
