Why go
This route suits visitors who want three different views of Cappadocia’s rock landscape in one day. Uçhisar Castle provides the panorama first, making the shape of the valleys easier to read. A road transfer leads to Göreme Open Air Museum and its rock-cut churches. Continue by road to Zelve, where the former settlement spreads across three valleys. Arrange a car, driver or suitable tour for the day; these sites are too far apart to treat as a single casual walk. The outdoor sections and uneven ground reward an unhurried pace, especially at Zelve. All three visits are essential to the route.
