Laodicea
Laodicea is an excavated city near Denizli where broad streets and civic remains offer a quieter archaeological alternative to Pamukkale.
Why go
The colonnaded routes help you reconstruct the city's plan, while the church remains show another layer of its history. Spend time looking along the street axes rather than moving only between individual monuments. It is a separate excursion from the Pamukkale complex, with its own travel and walking allowance.
