Museum of Anatolian Civilizations
This Ankara museum is a strong indoor choice for understanding Anatolia's long archaeological sequence before visiting ancient sites scattered across the country.
Its displays move across prehistoric and later cultures, including material from Hittite and Phrygian contexts. Rather than treating each object as isolated, follow the chronological progression and notice how tools, sculpture and writing change. The museum is especially useful before longer trips to sites such as Hattusa or Gordion.
