Why go
The triangular square offers a broad view of Valencia’s civic center and the early twentieth-century redesign that shaped it. City Hall anchors one side, the post office faces it across the space, and the fountain and flower stalls soften the formal façades and traffic around them.
What to look for
- City Hall and the post office face one another across the civic center.
- A large fountain occupies the northern part of the triangular square.
- The present layout largely follows Javier Goerlich’s redesign of the 1930s.
Useful to know
- Cross the square slowly enough to compare both principal façades rather than viewing it from one corner.
- Continue south toward Estació del Nord or north into Ciutat Vella.
