Torres de Serranos
Climb this monumental medieval gate for an elevated look over Valencia’s old city and Turia corridor, with exposed stairs making weather part of the decision.
Why go
The gate is a major surviving fragment of Valencia’s demolished medieval walls and still functions as a civic symbol. From its open upper levels, the defensive architecture becomes easy to read and the view links the compact lanes of Ciutat Vella with the long green space beyond.
What to look for
The paired towers formed one of the principal gates through Valencia’s medieval wall.
Open upper levels reveal the gate’s defensive structure from the city side.
The summit overlooks both Ciutat Vella and the former Turia riverbed.
Useful to know
Save the climb for dry, calm conditions because the upper sections are exposed.
Continue directly into the Turia Garden or use the gate as the northern endpoint of an old-city walk.
