Prepare outside
Explanatory panels are provided in the Pinecone Courtyard and Square Garden. The preparation article gives you three observations to remember, the paired side-wall stories, Michelangelo's Genesis ceiling and his later Last Judgement on the altar wall.
Look from memory
Follow the signed approach and staff instructions. Once inside, use the three observations to move your attention between walls and ceiling. Leave any further reading or phone controls until after you have left the chapel.
