Pinacoteca Room VIII

Room VIII brings together Raphael's Crowning of the Virgin, Madonna of Foligno and Transfiguration. Each was commissioned for a different altar. Look at how the people below address the sacred figures above them. In one painting they gather around a tomb, in another a patron kneels in thanks, and in the last a crowd confronts a child's distress.
