A four-stop visit follows the relationship between a royal residence and its garden. Begin outside the facade, continue through the South Wing to the Empress’s Bedchamber, then follow the visitor circuit towards the Peristyle and upper parterre. The rooms explain how Louis XIV’s building was adapted and furnished for later occupants.
Before you arrive
This visit follows the South Wing, the Peristyle and the upper garden. A ramp is provided beyond the entrance porch. Ask the entrance team to indicate the suitable access through the porch and visitor circuit.
