A reconstructed farm houses animals at the edge of the Hamlet. Its earlier counterpart supplied food and supported agricultural learning for the royal children.

The farm had a practical role within Marie-Antoinette’s estate. Its buildings included places for livestock and poultry, alongside the working dairy and other agricultural facilities of the Hamlet. The queen used the village for walks and small gatherings, while the farm’s activity also provided lessons for the royal children.
The original farm largely disappeared during the nineteenth century. Reconstructed in 2006, it now houses animals cared for by an animal-welfare foundation. The surviving and rebuilt buildings therefore belong to different periods of the site’s history. Observe the animals and their enclosures from the visitor paths.
