From the Warsaw World / Itineraries

New Town and Royal Łazienki

Walk from New Town's churches to Royal Łazienki, then focus on the Palace on the Isle and nearby Ujazdów landmarks.

New Town and Royal Łazienki

Why go

This split route compares two quieter sides of Warsaw beyond the Old Town's busiest streets. Begin on Freta Street, visit St Kazimierz Church and continue to the Church of the Visitation for the river escarpment. Use transit south to Royal Łazienki and protect the afternoon for the park and Palace on the Isle. Ujazdów Castle, Belweder and Ujazdów Park are optional outer stops, not a requirement to cross every corner. The sequence suits travelers comfortable with one clear transfer and a long park walk; leave Branicki Palace and St Martin's Church for an Old Town day.

Useful to know

  • Keep lower-priority stops optional and confirm any timed interior entry before setting out.
