Bogyoke Aung San Museum
This former family home in Bahan now tells the story of Aung San through domestic rooms and personal objects. Visit to connect a central figure in Myanmar's independence history with the house where he lived.
The rooms make Aung San's life more tangible than a monument alone. Family photographs, clothing and handwritten notes sit alongside the house's bedrooms and living spaces, while his car and the preserved pond extend the story outside. The house was his last residence before his assassination in 1947. Its intimate scale suits visitors who want to understand the person and family behind that national history.
What to look for
Family rooms preserve the setting of Aung San's last home.
