University of Yangon
Yangon's historic university in Kamayut links education and the country's political history. Public campus access is unverified, so plan any architecture viewing only after checking the university's current visitor rules.
Founded as Rangoon University in 1920 from earlier colleges, the institution became a center of anti-colonial student strikes and later political movements. The Kamayut campus and Judson Church give that history a physical setting, if access permits. Its significance is substantial, but it remains an active university rather than an open heritage park.
