From the Yosemite World / Itineraries

Valley Views, Museum, and Historic Buildings

Pair Tunnel View and Valley View with meadow walks, the Yosemite Museum, the chapel, and The Ahwahnee. The sequence keeps distant stops out of the same walking segment.

Valley Views, Museum, and Historic Buildings

Why go

Begin at Tunnel View for the whole valley, then drop to Valley View and Sentinel Bridge for lower river-level perspectives. Cook's Meadow and El Capitan Meadow slow the pace before Yosemite Chapel, Yosemite Museum, and The Ahwahnee shift attention to human history and architecture. Leave the car parked once you reach the central valley and use walking paths or the shuttle between the final stops. When museum hours or parking shift, preserve the meadow walk and treat the final hotel visit as optional.
