Valley Waterfalls and Granite Icons

Link Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, Half Dome, and Mirror Lake for a first valley day shaped by water and granite.

Valley Waterfalls and Granite Icons

Why go

Start with Yosemite Falls and its lower cascade, then use Bridalveil Fall and El Capitan to read the western valley walls. Continue east toward Half Dome and Mirror Lake, with Cathedral Rocks and Three Brothers as visual anchors between stops. This route works by shuttle, walking paths, and a few carefully chosen pullouts. Keep one formation optional when traffic or waterfall crowds slow the day. If the waterfalls are crowded, skip the final formation and keep the eastern valley unhurried.
