Why go
The church offers a quieter counterpoint to Fraumünster and Grossmünster. Its parish history reaches deep into Zurichʼs past, while the tower clock acts as an urban marker from across the Limmat. Interior access is secondary to reading the building from several viewpoints, especially when church use limits entry.
What to look for
- Step back across the river to appreciate the scale of the clock face.
- Notice how the tower rises above a much smaller church and tight lane network.
Useful to know
- Treat the interior as a bonus and check church use before planning around entry.
- Link it with Lindenhof and Fraumünster in a short west-bank loop.
