Gabriel was an excellent guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and a lovely person to spend time withc
Ana was the perfect guide-she was very knowledgeable and made every effort to customize the tour to our interests. She spoke English very well and gave us such a great understanding of the history of Argentina. She additionally assisted us with dinner recommendations . The dinner at Puerto Cristal was fabulous. Our group of 4 would highly recommend her as a guide.
Our guide Marianna was excellent, friendly, professional and courteous. Probably best private tour we’ve had in 30 years of travelling the World. We were driven by Betty who was courteous and friendly. Certainly very good to have a separate driver. Marianna was known to many other guides who greeted her like a celebrity and it was clear she was held in very high esteem. Would not hesitate to recommend Marianna(hope I’ve spelt her name right)
Ana brought her enthusiasm and excitement for the city and it’s history! She arrived promptly and began introducing us to BA ! Her English was excellent and knowledge of the history of BA, Argentina and the world amazed us. Ana brought maps and historical pictures to use as references which helped explain the sites. We would highly recommend Ana, the best we could ask for.
Our guide was Andres - he was amazing - catered to our wants! He was so interesting to learn from! Would highly recommend him!!!
Must do by this tour guide
No 'hop on hop off'. We could enjoy Buenos Aires at our own pace. Our guide was wonderful. A wonderful way to explore BA.
The local tour operator was Bs As Travelers. The tour guide was Mirta and the driver was Alberto. The overall experience of this tour was overshadowed with the theft of several expensive pieces of gold/diamond and sapphire jewelry that were removed from a carry on bag that was located inside the driver's trunk. Of course the company denies any responsibility by claiming that the theft of this jewelry could have been done by professional pickpockets at the airport. However, the jewelry was placed inside an individual pouch in the bottom of the carry on bag with other costume jewelry in pouches on top with other personal items and zipped closed. A pickpocket would need a great amount of time to sort through the bag and remove only the gold/diamond and sapphire jewelry. Besides, the bag was always in our possession except for the 4 hours it was in the trunk of Alberto's vehicle. Additionally, Viator does not accept any liability or responsibility for this situation. We have asked Viator to: 1. Bar Bs As Travelers from receiving any future business from Viator; 2. Notify other third party providers of the situation with Bs As Travelers; and 3. Place a warning to those individuals who have already booked this tour. No response was received from Viator. It makes us wonder how many other local operators do they employ who are as untrustworthy as Bs As Travelers. The purpose of this review is to warn other travelers so that they can avoid experiencing the very same situation. Please do not trust the tour guide and/or driver when they tell that everything will be safe in their vehicle. If you have a tour booked, we would strongly advise that you reconsider unless you do not have any valuables that need protection.
