Visit: La Ventana Tango Show, Balcarce 425 Monserrat, Buenos Aires Argentina
After hotel pickup, we’ll take you over to the cobbled streets of San Telmo, a historic neighborhood with deep roots in the tango tradition. Arrive at a "conventillo", a historic tenement restored and now used as a restaurant-theater, where La Ventana takes place.
For dinner, you’ll be able to choose between a selection of typical national and international dishes, some of which are listed below:
• Local empanadas
• Red meat
• Bife de chorizo with chips
• Entraña ‘special cut’ with papas al horno
• Plum-stuffed pork with a honey-mustard sauce (a traditional dish) and mashed sweet potato with orange and thyme
• Homemade flan, served with cream or dulce de leche
• Warm pancake with dulce de leche
• Soft drinks
• Zuccardi wines (half a bottle per person)
The tango show will begin at 10pm, with music from not only a live tango orchestra, but also an Argentine gaucho band. Onstage, four spectacular couples dance with incredible precision and a whole lot of passion.
The show will also give you an insight into gaucho culture through their music as well as a striking demonstration of their boleadoras skills (lasso-type tools used in herding cattle).
To bring an unforgettable evening to a close, the performers at La Ventana sing a touching tribute to Eva Perón.
At 11:45pm, once the show has finished, we’ll take you back to your hotel for the night.

We attended this performance with the dinner included. Excellent show in the San Telmo district. An older venue than some of the shows but the performance was much more intimate as we were seated close to the stage. The variety in the acts was also very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Wonderful show and service with wine. Excellent performances, tango plus folkloric show, with pick up and drop off provided from the cruise port.
Picked up from our hotel and taken directly to the venue which is very atmospheric we sat in the gallery so had a great view the steak we had was superb and the bottle Malbec went down a treat the show itself was varied and very entertaining overall a great experience which I would strongly recommend
Really great show. Nice experience to meet new people from different countries during the diner. Diner was also very good. Dancers, musicians and singers were absolutely amazing. Show exceeded our expectations in every way.
A very excellent show. Many different acts to complement the tango show. Food was also of a high standard.
Show was great as was the food.
Would highly recommend this experience.
Good value for the money. Pick up and return was efficient
Great show with a nice variety. Not just tango. The atmosphere/building was quite interesting as well. The wait staff was great and I was glad we chose the dinner option as the food was good and it gave us time to enjoy the place before hand. We were a family group of ages 36-95 and all enjoyed the experience - even those that had doubts that it would be too touristy. It is a place for tourists but still and all a great way to see some of the culture of Argentina.
It was well worth the price and we would go again!
The show was excellent but the driver never showed up and we had to take a taxi to the venue. This must happen often as they reimbursed us for the taxi. The driver said he came to the hotel but there was no way he did as we were there before the scheduled pickup time.
Reserved this last minute. Our hotel rated this as good. We booked just the show- no food or drinks. The tour operator indicated they do not pick up in the Palermo area and provided a prominent spot for pick up at 9:00 p.m. We took a taxi to that spot and waited and were picked up a bit after 9:00 p.m. So do not expect hey would be there exactly at 9:00 p.m. Remember you are enjoying a vacation.
When we reached the place we were offered to go upstairs and enjoy a smaller venue that had a different show. Even though it might have been better I decided to stay with Ventana since I wanted to see what I had paid for.
When we entered the venue was packed with people eating and drinking and was extremely busy. It was too loud to my liking. The show started around 10:00 p.m. From the start I found the music to be too loud and I had my ear blocked all through the performance. The Tango was good, including the 'Don't Cry for me Argentina' presentation. There were other pan flute presentations also. However, I had seen a Tango performance on a cruise ship the night before and that performance was much better and in a quieter environment.
In conclusion the tour operator was well organised given the last minute reservation; the performance was good but the noise was unbearable for me and my spouse. If you like loud spaces, you may rate it higher.
Too crowded, too noisy and mediocre quality dinner. Unless you are with a large group, you will be seated at a table with a poor view of the stage. Do not recommend this activity.
Lightning-quick feet and furious with passion — some of the best tango dancers in town will steal your breath away during La Ventana, a show not to be missed. Take your seat inside a restored tenement located in San Telmo, the Buenos Aires barrio where the sultry dance began. Mix in two tango orchestras, vocalists, a folk band, a demo of gaucho-cowboy culture, and you have a night to remember. Make the most of it with an upgrade to enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal with your wine before the show.
