Why go

Walk the port to see how directly Alicante meets the water. The marina-facing promenade continues the urban axis from the Explanada, while the 350-metre Paseo Volado projects along the east quay for views back toward the city and across the bay. It works best as part of a waterfront sequence, not as an isolated destination.

What to look for

• The public promenade looks across the marina toward masts, quays and the city frontage.
• Paseo Volado runs for 350 metres above the east quay with wider port and bay views.
• The waterfront route connects naturally toward the Explanada and Postiguet Beach.

Useful to know

• Approach from the Explanada and continue toward Postiguet for a coherent, mostly level waterfront walk.
• Use the raised Paseo Volado for the broadest view, but expect stronger sun and wind than by the marina.
• Allow 45 to 75 minutes for the public spaces, longer if adding a museum or beach stop.
