Why go
This is the most direct scenic link between Alicante’s city beach and old town. The blue-toned hexagonal pavement creates a three-dimensional mosaic underfoot, while the changing angle reveals the castle above, the marina to the west and the Mediterranean alongside the route.
What to look for
- Blue hexagonal paving forms an optical pattern that appears to rise and fold.
- The castle looms above the promenade from the slope of Mount Benacantil.
- Continuous sea views connect Postiguet with the marina and central waterfront.
Useful to know
- Allow 30 to 45 minutes for a relaxed walk without beach time.
- Use the promenade to connect Postiguet with Santa María Basilica, MACA and the old town.
- Expect little shelter from sea wind or strong sun along the open sections.
