From the regional World / Areas
Kaş
Kaş is a coastal town backed by steep mountains, with Lycian traces, small swimming spots and access to diving and Kekova outings. Its district extends well beyond the compact harbour centre.
Use the town for its Hellenistic theatre, old streets and nearby beaches, then choose a separate trip for the surrounding coast or mountains. Kalkan and Gelemiş lie elsewhere in the district; Kekova is reached by boat from this stretch of coast but belongs to the neighbouring Demre area.
What to look for
A Hellenistic theatre remains in the town.
The Çukurbağ Peninsula projects west from Kaş into the Mediterranean.
The mountains behind the coast hold ancient sites and upland routes.
Useful to know
Keep the town walk and a boat or mountain outing as separate plans.
For a swim near town, compare the small local beaches with a boat trip to Limanağzı.
