Rocca Minore
Rocca Minore is the smaller of Assisi’s two medieval fortresses, reached above the eastern side of town. Its interior is closed, so the worthwhile visit is an exterior view along the hillside approach.
Rocca Minore is a worthwhile hillside landmark for visitors interested in Assisi’s defensive landscape, but its interior is closed. Walk up beyond Porta Cappuccini for the exterior view and the relationship to Rocca Maggiore across the town. Treat this as a short outdoor stop, not a fortress tour.
