Texas Capitol Visitors Center
Explore Texas history inside the Capitol Visitors Center, housed in the castle-like old General Land Office. Films and interactive exhibits add context before or after a separate visit to the Capitol.
The restored nineteenth-century office building offers both architecture and interpretation in a compact stop. Its exhibits connect the Capitol, land records and Texas history, while the old Land Office setting gives those stories a physical home. This is a distinct museum visit on the grounds, with its own entrance and displays.
