French Leave Beach
French Leave Beach is a long Atlantic strand below Governor’s Harbour, with a light pink tint to its sand. Choose it for an open-coast walk rather than sheltered wading.
The length of the shore gives this beach a different rhythm from Eleuthera’s small bank-side coves. Walking is a strong reason to come even when the sea is too active for swimming. Give yourself time to take in the exposed coast.
What to look for
A long, lightly pink Atlantic beach runs below Governor’s Harbour.
Useful to know
Use the public shore responsibly, bring shade and judge Atlantic surf before swimming.
