Why go
This full-day route follows water and volcanic geography from the Pakerisan valley into Kintamani. Start at Tirta Empul and give active purification rituals space before moving to nearby Gunung Kawi for the long stair descent. Continue north to a safe Mount and Lake Batur viewpoint rather than assuming a summit climb fits the same day. Pura Ulun Danu Batur completes the link between crater water, worship and irrigation. The route is ambitious but coherent; skip the final temple if stairs, ceremonies or mountain weather consume more time than expected.
