Why go
The park offers a full-day change of pace from temples, museums and shopping districts. Its identity comes from pairing a water park with an amusement park, a format developed over several decades from an attraction first established back in 1980.
What to look for
- Explore Siam Amazing Park’s water attractions centered on a large wave pool.
- Find amusement rides gathered within the same Siam Amazing Park complex.
- Recognize Siam Amazing Park as a Bangkok recreation venue with roots in 1980.
The full story
The park began in 1980 as Siam Park City in Bangkok’s Khan Na Yao district. Its founding idea was to create a beach-like recreation space inside a city without a seashore. Water attractions became central to that identity, including a large wave pool, swimming areas and slides. Amusement rides were added and expanded over time, turning the site into a combined water and theme park rather than a single-purpose pool complex. The current official name is Siam Amazing Park. Although individual rides and operating arrangements can change, the durable story is one of scale and longevity: a private leisure landscape that has served generations of Bangkok families by bringing water play and mechanical attractions together. Its two-part format still defines the visit.
Useful to know
