Santa Chiara
Pause outside Santa Chiara’s church and former convent in northern Bari Vecchia, a religious complex whose later institutional use limits the visit to its exterior.
Santa Chiara adds a different institutional story to the streets near San Nicola. The state heritage authority traces the complex from a medieval Teutonic church to the Poor Clares and later public uses. Observe the church frontage and surrounding buildings; the heritage offices and former convent interiors are not included in this visit.
